A healthy lifestyle is the result of many factors, including sports. In my years of experience as a pain relief specialist I have noticed the great difference that can be found in patients who adopt an active lifestyle.
As a first step we can categorize the exercises into three groups: Aerobic, Strength and Flexibility.
Aerobic exercise is exercise that stimulates the cardiovascular system. These can be exercises such as walking, jumping, jogging, running, etc …. Many people with overweight require these exercises to achieve better health, then, I will give some tips to carry it out:
If you usually have sore ankles, try to wear tennis shoes with inner tubes or good cushioning, and work on the treadmill to relieve the pressure.
-If you are a person who is just starting or resuming aerobic exercise, try to be friendly with your body, making a gradual adaptation process, thus avoiding injury.
Strength exercises are vital because they produce and distribute immune cells. Basically, a person with a higher muscle mass index will have a more effective defense system and may be less likely to get sick.
For strength training, it is always vital to have a correct protein intake since protein is the “brick” that builds muscle. The amount you should eat per day will always depend on your weight and how many calories you consume. That is, if you are in a caloric deficit you should consume more protein than if you are in a caloric surplus, since the consumption of fewer calories and great muscular effort puts our body in a catabolic state, which consists of using muscle fiber to produce energy, which can decrease your muscle mass, which is why a high protein intake is important.
Finally, there are the flexibility exercises that can be adapted to your routine as a warm-up for the two types of exercises already mentioned. These exercises reduce the risk of injury, improve posture and help with coordination and muscle relationship.
